Made for Slo Mo Video, a fesfival and DVD of 100 one minute slow motion videos, by 85 filmmakers from around the world.
My contribution was three kinds of static captured from different monitors using a small digital camera.  The footage was, of course, massively slowed down two a few frames per second. The resulting close examination of this tv "snow" reveals a secret life of static that normally exists at a frequency just above our ability to pecieve it.  What we normally accept as a meaningless lack of signal takes on an organically formal efficiency and logic that seems to betray an uncanny intelligence. Staring into the broadcast void you see that it stares back at you.
